Bison CEO warns oil run higher could drive currency debasement

Josh Young of Bison Interests says less than 10% of global oil stockpiles may be usable and puts WTI fair value near $105 a barrel.

Bitcoin Magazine highlights comments from Josh Young, founder and CEO of Bison Interests, who argues that an ongoing run higher in oil could be associated with broader currency debasement.

In the discussion, Young says global oil stocks are being depleted faster than many expect, estimating that less than 10% of global stockpiles may be usable.

He also links the thesis to oil price valuation, arguing that WTI fair value sits near $105 per barrel and suggesting the market has little room for another supply shock.

Young additionally points to what he views as limited lasting relief from an Iran peace deal and identifies an area of the energy market he believes is deeply undervalued.
