Bitcoin underperforms during Wall Street hours since Sept. 21
A CryptoSlate analysis found BTC down 3.2% in US stock-market hours from Sept. 21 through Oct. 7, with the biggest drops concentrated on Sept. 30 and Oct. 2.
Bitcoin has lost 3.24% during US stock-market hours since Sept. 21, while it gained 6.07% outside that window, according to a CryptoSlate analysis of Binance BTC/USDT trading.
CryptoSlate said the Coinbase Premium Gap tracked by CryptoQuant fell to negative $64 during the period, suggesting weaker demand or heavier selling on the US-focused exchange.
Across 13 Wall Street cash sessions from Sept. 21 through Oct. 7, Bitcoin fell in eight sessions. The analysis also said the largest declines came on Sept. 30 and Oct. 2, when BTC dropped 1.86% and 2.65% during the New York window from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
CryptoSlate noted that ETF flows on the same dates moved in opposite directions, making it harder to prove sustained institutional selling, and that removing Sept. 30 and Oct. 2 leaves the remaining 11 sessions showing a compounded 1.28% gain.
