Chinese restaurant boss gifts new BMWs to top employees

Each BMW costs 300,000 yuan, or about US$45,000, according to Henan TV.

A restaurant boss in central China drew widespread online attention for giving brand-new BMWs to her top-performing employees, saying she wanted to protect them during harsh weather commutes, SCMP Economy reports.

The beef hotpot chain owner, Ma Yanli, based in Jiaozuo in Henan province, took workers to collect the cars on September 24, after purchasing the vehicles two weeks earlier and paying in full, according to Henan TV as cited by SCMP Economy.

The report said each car costs 300,000 yuan, about US$45,000.
