Columbus Vegetable Oils opens rail-served packing facility in Nevada
The new North Las Vegas site is designed to boost capacity for shipping oils across the West Coast, including conventional, non-GMO, and organic varieties.
Columbus Vegetable Oils has opened a new rail-served packing and distribution facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada, the company said. The expansion is intended to increase production capacity to ship millions of pounds of oils annually throughout the West Coast region.
The facility includes state-of-the-art processing technology and will supply food manufacturers, food service operators, and retailers. Columbus Vegetable Oils plans to offer conventional, non-GMO, and organic oils, including soybean, canola, olive, safflower, avocado, and corn.
World Grain reports that the company said the project extends its presence on the West Coast and positions it to serve customers across the region. Columbus Vegetable Oils added that the expansion reflects its focus on dependable supply, high-quality products, fast delivery, and competitive pricing, with company president Paulette Gagliardo saying the firm sells service as well as oil.
