Fixkraft-Futtermittel expands Austrian animal feed silo and processing
The new 12,000-cubic-meter silo system and hydrothermal plant add on-site processing for soybeans and rapeseed, letting Fixkraft produce higher-value feed ingredients instead of outsourcing.
Fixkraft-Futtermittel GmbH, a privately owned Austrian animal feed manufacturer, opened a new multi-functional silo at its Donauhafen Enns site, expanding its ability to receive, store, process, and condition feed ingredients, according to World Grain.
The facility includes a 12,000-cubic-meter silo system and a modern hydrothermal processing plant for oilseeds, including soybeans and rapeseed.
Fixkraft said the expansion enables it to process key raw materials on site that previously had to be processed externally, improving control over input quality and supply while allowing production of higher-value feed ingredients for its livestock feed formulations.
World Grain reports the investment is the largest in Fixkraft’s 55-year history, with the Enns location serving as the company’s main production hub after feed production was consolidated there in the 1990s.
