Huawei targets smartphone growth after U.S. sanctions hit results
CNBC Finance reports that Huawei is aiming to rebuild its consumer business amid the effects of U.S. sanctions.
The outlet says the sanctions halved the companys segment revenue, pushing Huawei to double down on smartphones as EV sales slow.
CNBC Finance also notes that Huawei is balancing that smartphone push with efforts to stabilize performance as demand shifts across its vehicle business.
