SALT Lending CEO says Bitcoin’s portability can help it stand out

In an interview at BMTV, Shawn Owen contrasted Bitcoin’s divisibility and ease of transfer with assets like gold and real estate during periods when some long duration holdings sold off.

Bitcoin’s portability, divisibility, and accessibility could increasingly differentiate it from traditional stores of value as more institutions enter the market, according to SALT Lending CEO and co founder Shawn Owen.

Speaking on BMTV, Owen said Bitcoin can be easier to move quickly than assets such as gold when situations shift, citing Bitcoin’s resilience while gold and other long duration assets sold off.

He also argued that Bitcoin is more portable and divisible and easier to use than real estate, positioning those basic characteristics as potential advantages.

The interview frames institutional adoption as still early, suggesting Bitcoin’s core traits may matter more as larger players continue to participate.
