Trump says Russia agreed to supply millions of tons of diesel

The deal Trump described includes over 300,000 tons immediately, 500,000 tons in November, and 1 million tons right after that.

FXStreet reports that US President Donald Trump said he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin about diesel supply to the American and global markets.

Trump said Russia would immediately provide more than 300,000 tons of diesel, add another 500,000 tons during November, and deliver 1 million tons immediately after that.

He also said that, depending on refinery conditions, Russia would then deliver another 3,000,000 tons within a short period.

Trump linked the announcement to expectations of lower diesel prices, saying it would help bring costs down for Americans including farmers, ranchers, and truckers.
