Etude launches Nebraska-domiciled E&S insurer for commercial P&C
The new Etude Specialty Insurance Company will write excess and surplus property and casualty business in all 50 states, and has surplus above USD 100 million.
Etude launched Etude Specialty Insurance Company, a Nebraska-domiciled technology-driven excess and surplus lines carrier focused on commercial property and casualty business, Reinsurance News reports. The insurer will write in all 50 states.
The firm said Etude Specialty has over USD 100 million of surplus and that its proprietary underwriting platform can quote specialty risks in hours. Etude added that the platform can intake submissions without any formal application requirement.
Etude appointed Daniel Rossen as president. Reinsurance News notes he has more than three decades of experience in specialty and E&S insurance, including leadership roles at The Hartford and ICW Group, and prior work at Origin Specialty Underwriters.
