Houthi attacks raise risks for Saudi oil infrastructure as Brent holds near $105
Brent was last around $105 per barrel, while heating oil futures were down about 3 to 4% after a Russia diesel deal failed to move US fuel prices, OilPrice said.
Houthi attacks are creating fresh risk to Saudi oil infrastructure and Gulf shipping, OilPrice reports, as Brent crude hovers near the $105 per barrel level.
The outlet also links shifting US fuel prices to the Trump administration’s Russia diesel deal, saying it has not produced substantial change in heating oil and other fuel costs.
OilPrice reported that heating oil futures fell about 3 to 4% in response, and it warned the move raises the stakes for the White House heading into the midterm election.
In its market snapshot, OilPrice listed Brent crude around $106.1 per barrel and heating oil around $4.90 per gallon at the time of publication.
