Optimal Blue buys borrower engagement platform Usherpa

The acquisition brings Usherpa into Optimal Blue, which said its pricing and eligibility workflows are used by more than 200,000 originators.

HousingWire reports that Optimal Blue acquired Usherpa, a mortgage-focused marketing automation and borrower engagement platform, aiming to bring borrower outreach closer to its product, pricing and eligibility workflows.

The company said it will natively integrate Usherpa into Optimal Blue while continuing to serve loan officers, real estate professionals and mortgage companies nationwide. HousingWire also reported that the deal terms were not disclosed.

Optimal Blue said lenders often run product and pricing engines separately from CRM systems, a setup that can reduce personalization, add manual work and slow response times.

HousingWire reports that Optimal Blue also expanded its direct lock program by adding an integration with Fannie Mae’s PE, Whole Loan platform.
