Bitcoin spot ETFs log second straight week of inflows
Net inflows totaled $75.7 million for the week ended July 17, following $197.4 million the prior week, while June remained a month of net outflows.
US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange traded funds extended a two week streak of net inflows, according to Cointelegraph citing SoSoValue data. The ETFs recorded $75.7 million in net inflows for the week ended July 17, after $197.4 million in net inflows the previous week, bringing total ETF inflows for July to $200.2 million.
Cointelegraph also notes that June saw $4.5 billion in net outflows, and that total net flows for 2026 remain negative at $5.2 billion. Analysts said the return of inflows suggests selling pressure is easing, but the buying pace has not been enough to confirm a sustained recovery.
Cointelegraph attributes the view to Simon Peter Massabni, head of business development at XS.com, who said four consecutive sessions of inflows should be read as reduced selling pressure rather than clear proof that institutional investors have broadly returned.
The piece also points to Citigroup’s more cautious stance on Bitcoin ETFs, including a cut to its 12 month ETF inflow forecast from $10 billion to zero and a reduction in its 12 month Bitcoin price target from $112,000 to $82,000.
