HYPE spot crypto ETFs post first weekly outflow since May
The $7.3 million weekly outflow cut cumulative net inflows to $301.3 million, while net assets under management fell 12.7% to $306.0 million.
Spot Hyperliquid (HYPE) exchange traded products recorded their first weekly outflow since launching in May, according to CoinShares' weekly Digital Asset Fund Flows report, with $7.26 million pulled out in the week ending July 17.
The outflow ended a nine week streak of inflows, trimming cumulative net inflows to $301.34 million from $308.6 million and pulling net assets under management down 12.7% to $306.03 million, a drop that The Defiant links to mark to market losses as HYPE's price declined over the week.
CoinShares data also showed capital moving differently across larger funds, with Bitcoin (BTC) funds drawing $75.67 million and Ether (ETH) products adding $105.44 million during the same period, while XRP and Solana (SOL) also posted gains.
The outflow coincided with HYPE falling more than 8% over the week, per CoinGecko data, including a brief move below $60 before recovering to the low $60s.
