JLL hires Dreamscape co-founders Strauss and Zinovoy for leasing push
The hires are intended to bolster JLL’s experiential retail, entertainment, and mixed-use leasing platforms, including work across New York and national assignments.
JLL said Joshua Strauss and Scott Zinovoy, who co-founded retail and entertainment real estate firm Dreamscape, have joined the company to help drive its experiential retail, entertainment, and mixed-use leasing initiatives.
Strauss joined as executive managing director, while Zinovoy was named senior vice president. Patrick A. Smith, JLL’s vice chairman, said the pair’s relationships, creativity, and understanding of the retail landscape will support clients and enhance JLL’s New York and national project leasing platforms.
Commercial Observer reports that Strauss and Zinovoy have advised on mixed-use and entertainment leases over the past 10 years, including deals at New York City’s South Street Seaport, Nashville’s Arcade retail marketplace, and Bayside Marketplace in Miami.
Strauss said the move comes as retail evolves in both urban and suburban markets, and that experiential retail is increasingly important for consumer demand, while JLL remains focused on helping landlords and tenants navigate the retail landscape. Zinovoy said the firm’s platform, global reach, and collaborative culture make it a fit for continuing to grow their business and support clients’ transformative visions.
