Enterprise AI aims to reduce mortgage workflow duplication

JazzX AI CEO Siddhartha Agarwal says lenders should add an intelligence layer on top of existing loan origination systems to orchestrate multi-step workflows and apply underwriting guidance consistently.

Artificial intelligence has generated hundreds of mortgage tools, but HousingWire reports many lenders still face rising costs, fragmented workflows, and inconsistent productivity. In an interview, Siddhartha Agarwal, CEO of JazzX AI, argued that the next phase of AI adoption is less about adding another application and more about changing how loans move through an organization.

Agarwal said enterprise AI mortgage operations function as an “intelligence layer” that can sit on top of existing platforms such as the loan origination system, rather than replacing systems of record. He described the approach as separating reasoning, document validation, and workflow orchestration from the LOS, which would continue to store transactions and maintain compliance.

He also said enterprise AI can interpret underwriting guidelines, evaluate lender overlays, and process unstructured documents, which could reduce repeated information checks across loan officers, processors, and underwriters. Agarwal added that AI governance would play a key role in determining long term success.
