Alphabet quadruples Miami office space with a new lease at Brickell
The lease expands Alphabet’s footprint at 1450 Brickell Avenue to about 45,000 square feet, up from roughly 10,000 previously used.
Alphabet’s parent company has expanded its Miami presence by signing a lease for about 45,000 square feet at 1450 Brickell Avenue, Commercial Observer reported, after previously leasing about 10,000 square feet at the property.
The 34-story building has hosted Google since 2016, and developer Rilea Group completed the high rise in 2010. The building is now owned by Amkin Management, according to public records cited by the outlet.
Commercial Observer reports that the office primarily supports Google’s Latin American cloud and sales teams. The company is not currently using the full space, with the additional area leased to provide flexibility for future growth.
The relocation also aligns with Miami’s broader push to become a tech hub, the outlet noted, citing new office openings and headquarters moves by other technology companies since the pandemic. A Google spokesperson declined to comment, and the landlord representative could not be reached for comment.
