Oil edges toward $100 after Houthi claim of Red Sea strikes
Brent crude was quoted above $98 a barrel after the rebel group claimed attacks on Saudi Arabian tankers in the Red Sea, lifting prices near the $100 level.
Oil prices moved closer to $100 a barrel after a report that the Houthi rebels claimed strikes on vessels in the Red Sea, MarketWatch reported.
Brent crude rose to more than $98 a barrel following the news, adding to upward pressure in energy markets as the incident circulated.
