Morgan Stanley Bitcoin ETF nears $400M in assets after new inflows
The NYSE Arca-listed fund launched in April and added $15.7 million in new cash this week, even as other US Bitcoin ETFs saw outflows.
Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin exchange-traded fund has climbed to close to $400 million in assets under management, even as investors pulled back from other Bitcoin ETF products this week, according to Bitcoin Magazine.
The NYSE Arca-listed fund, the first Bitcoin ETF from a bank, launched in April and collected over $33 million in fresh cash on its first day. It now holds more than $391 million in assets, making it one of the most successful new funds launched this year so far, the outlet said, citing Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas.
Bitcoin Magazine reported that investors added $15.7 million to the fund during the past week, based on Farside Investors data. The same dataset showed total US Bitcoin ETFs received $274 million in new investment for the week, after a run of inflows that stalled Thursday when every ETF experienced outflows except Morgan Stanley’s product.
In parallel, the outlet noted that Bitcoin was trading around $64,096 recently, down more than 1% over the prior 24 hours, while remaining nearly unchanged over a seven-day window. Bitcoin Magazine also referenced Morgan Stanley’s prior work in crypto access for clients and its focus on client education as a key adoption challenge.
