Gowanus Golf Club leases 6,000 SF at Dumbo’s 215 Water Street

The indoor club will open in mid-September and add simulator bays, a members lounge, and lessons, with rent cited at $100 per square foot.

Gowanus Golf Club is set to open a new private indoor golf location in Brooklyn’s Dumbo after leasing about 6,000 square feet at 215 Water Street along the waterfront, Commercial Observer reported.

The golf club is taking space in a five-story mixed-use building between Bridge and Jay streets owned by Pearl Realty Management, according to broker Corey Cohen of the Roebling Team at Compass. Commercial Observer said the lease term was not disclosed, but the asking rent was $100 per square foot.

Gowanus Golf Club is expected to open in mid-September, and the space will include simulator bays, a members lounge, a putting area and fitness equipment, plus a repair shop and wellness rooms. The club will also host league and tournament events and offer golf lessons.

Commercial Observer said the Dumbo opening represents a new location for the chain, which already operates clubs at 124 Ninth Street in Gowanus and 646 Dean Street in Prospect Heights. Other tenants at 215 Water Street include toy manufacturer Little Poland and appliance store VMN & Company.
