Hong Kong launches 5% discounts for ticket holders at major events
The Hong Kong Tourism Board said the promotion in August covers more than 100 designated hotels and tourist attractions, aiming to support tourism-linked retail and catering spending.
Hong Kong will offer 5 per cent discounts on dining, shopping, and attractions in August for people who present tickets for five major events, in a bid to lift spending tied to tourism-related sectors, the Hong Kong Tourism Board said.
The board said ticket holders can get the discount at more than 100 designated hotels and tourist attractions during the promotion period, with the initiative linking event attendance to on-the-ground spending experiences.
Participating events include the Hong Kong Football Festival 2026 on July 31 and August 1, 4, and 5, and the Football Summit 2026 featuring Bayern Munich and Aston Villa on August 7.
The eligible activities also include the 2026 TME live International Music Awards on August 22 and 23, concerts by mainland Chinese singer Silence Wang Sulong on September 5 and 6, and tickets for the Hong Kong Palace Museum exhibition “Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums” dated for August.
