Radian completes sale of real estate services business to PLACE

Radian said the combined Real Estate Services sale and a planned Title sale to PLACE will finish its divestiture plan for non-core businesses previously under its “All Other” category, with the Title deal expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Radian Group Inc. has completed the sale of its Real Estate Services business to PLACE, a real estate technology and services platform, and it has also entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Title business to PLACE.

Radian expects the Title sale to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Together, the two transactions are intended to complete the company’s previously announced plan to divest non-core businesses that were formerly reported under its “All Other” category.

The moves are part of Radian’s strategic plan to shift away from its position as a leading U.S. private mortgage insurer toward becoming a diversified global multi-line specialty insurer, a transformation that followed a comprehensive strategic review completed in 2025.

Radian’s transformation includes its acquisition of Inigo, a Lloyd’s specialty insurer, for $1.67 billion in February 2026, according to Reinsurance News. The company’s CEO said the transactions mark a milestone in executing that plan, while PLACE leadership said the acquired businesses bring expertise and customer relationships that fit its technology-enabled services platform.
