The deal adds professional liability brokerage business focused on architects and engineers, expanding Trucordia’s presence in Idaho.
Coverager reports that Trucordia has acquired the assets of Shipley & Pease Insurance, a brokerage serving the professional liability insurance and risk management needs of architects and engineers.
Shipley & Pease was founded in 1996, and the firm has grown into one of the largest independently owned brokerages focused on the architects and engineers market, expanding 500% over the past decade, according to the company.
Trucordia said the acquisition strengthens its specialty capabilities in professional liability and brings added expertise in serving architecture and engineering firms, with the transaction also expanding its footprint in Idaho.
Financial terms were not disclosed, and Trucordia noted that the acquired business includes longstanding community relationships and a strong client retention record.
