Corgan expands its Empire State Building office to 26,035 square feet
The redesign increased the firm’s footprint from 18,714 to 26,035 square feet and brings the office capacity to as many as 162 employees after a full-floor gut renovation.
Corgan has expanded its New York office inside the Empire State Building, boosting its footprint on the 54th floor from 18,714 square feet to 26,035 square feet, Commercial Observer reported.
The firm occupied the space for nearly two decades before undertaking a full-floor renovation that required temporarily relocating Corgan’s aviation, data center, and corporate interiors teams while the floor was gutted.
Corgan said its almost 150 employees are now back in the redesigned, full-floor space, which the firm designed and built around Art Deco themes tied to the building’s 1931 opening as the world’s tallest skyscraper.
The company said the redesign also emphasized sustainability, and it added a shop for 3D model printing and laser cutting as part of modernization efforts, with the new layout designed to accommodate up to 162 people.
