PowerCompute faces Sept. 2 decision on $18.13 million BTC collar loan

The collar loan has no daily margin calls, but it will be tested at an 8:00 a.m. EST Sept. 2 reference-price check against a $58,860 floor and $66,370 ceiling.

PowerCompute will reach its first monthly decision point on 307 pledged BTC on Sept. 2, when an $18.13 million loan from Arch Lending ends its initial 30-day period, according to CryptoSlate.

The borrowing was structured as a collar loan after PowerCompute refinanced three existing facilities into the new terms at an initial 2% annual rate, a setup designed to avoid an immediate sale of the coins.

Instead of daily liquidation risk, the protection is tied to a reset reference-price check at 8:00 a.m. EST, with PowerCompute having until 5:00 p.m. EST to accept a new quote or close out the position.

If the reference price is below the $58,860 floor, Arch can keep the pledged BTC in full satisfaction with no deficiency claim; between the $58,860 and $66,370 ceiling, PowerCompute can repay and recover the collateral or roll into newly quoted terms, while above $66,370 its upside is capped for the ending period.
