Spot Bitcoin ETFs pull in $790.6 million in a week after Coldcard exploit
Over the same seven trading days, the funds saw $1.0 billion of gross inflows alongside $212.7 million in outflows, leaving $790.6 million net inflows.
In the wake of a firmware exploit affecting certain Coldcard hardware wallets, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs added nearly $800 million in net inflows over a seven trading-day period, offering a snapshot of how institutional demand held up amid renewed security concerns, according to Bitcoin Magazine.
Across the week, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $790.6 million in net inflows, with more than $1.0 billion entering the funds while $212.7 million exited, resulting in one of the strongest weekly periods in recent months.
Bitcoin Magazine noted that the July 31 session was the only negative day during the period, when ETFs recorded $212.7 million in net outflows, and that ETF flow data does not show why investors bought or sold, only what they did.
BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for the majority of inflows, while Fidelity’s FBTC added $11.2 million on the latest session and Bitwise’s BITB added $1.7 million, with other funds experiencing only modest outflows that did not offset IBIT’s strength.
