Lower and partners push AI toward an end-to-end “search to close” real estate flow
The HousingWire AI Summit session highlighted Lower’s buildout of an integrated platform by combining Movoto with NeatLabs, and speakers argued AI could shift work away from broader industry roles toward top performers.
HousingWire’s AI Summit in Dallas put a spotlight on how artificial intelligence could reshape home discovery and the mortgage process, with Lower’s CEO Dan Snyder and HouseCanary CEO Chris Rediger describing efforts to connect search, transactions, and financing in one flow.
Snyder said Lower is pursuing an integrated “search to close” platform, supported by recent acquisitions including Movoto, described as the fifth-largest real estate portal, and NeatLabs, a venture-backed point-of-sale loan operating system. He framed the strategy as bringing consumers in through the front door, using Movoto to capture what happens next, and then embedding financing to close the loan while letting “human talent” focus on high-value roles.
Snyder also argued the industry is at an inflection point, driven by faster development cycles and quicker product iteration as AI accelerates engineering. He added that owning underlying technology gives Lower a strategic advantage, and said AI could reduce the time it would take to reinvent the consumer search journey.
Rediger, whose company has worked with Google for three years, described placing home listings directly inside search and outlined expectations that AI agents and large language models will change how buyers find homes and how deals move forward, with speakers saying AI could amplify top-performing agents and loan officers while reducing overall industry headcount.
