BTS world tour to lift Hong Kong hotel bookings next year

CBRE data shows BTS’s Arirang tour already pushed Seoul hotel revenue per available room up 34% versus 2025, and analysts expect similar momentum for Hong Kong’s hotel sector and year-round events economy.

The arrival of BTS’s world tour in Hong Kong next year is expected to boost the city’s hospitality industry, with hotels likely to see a booking surge similar to the one recorded in Seoul when the K-pop group launched its comeback concert series earlier this year, according to analysts cited by SCMP Economy.

SCMP Economy reports that when BTS kicked off its Arirang world tour in April in Seoul, local hotels recorded a major uptick in performance, with revenue per available room rising 34% compared with the same period in 2025, based on CBRE data.

The outlet also notes that Chellaram said major global music concerts can lift short term occupancy, strengthen pricing power, and add momentum to Hong Kong’s growing year-round events economy, while operators that align marketing and guest experience with mega events may be better positioned to improve results.

Ahead of BTS’s planned arrival, SCMP Economy says several Hong Kong hotels have already announced promotions for concertgoers, including Dorsett Kai Tak’s early bird offers and special weekend rates, and Royal Park Hotel in Sha Tin’s plan to offer a complimentary one way shuttle bus service to Kai Tak Sports Park.
