KHP sells Kimpton La Peer West Hollywood for $63M to APA Group
The 105-room hotel is being bought by Tokyo-based APA Group as it targets 10,000 U.S. rooms by 2030, doubling its current count.
KHP Capital Partners has sold the 105-room Kimpton La Peer West Hollywood to Japan-based hotel owner APA Group for $63 million, or $600,000 per room, according to Bisnow.
APA Group is a family-run Japanese hotel corporation and has previously partnered with the Kimpton brand, the deal coverage noted. The buyer is also working to expand its U.S. footprint, expecting to increase its hotel room count in the United States to 10,000 rooms by 2030, doubling its current total, Bloomberg reported in May.
The sale lands amid an active West Hollywood hotel market, with Bisnow citing other recent transactions and financing activity. In June, billionaire brothers Simon and David Reuben took over Steve Witkoff's Edition West Hollywood, and the prior refinancing for the property included a $230 million loan in 2021.
Broader local trends cited by Bisnow show Los Angeles County individual hotel sales rose 16.7% in the first half of 2026, with dollar volume up 124.1% to about $545 million. Atlas Hospitality Group also said the median price per room increased 16.2% to just over $196,000.
