Engel & Völkers hires Silicon Valley agent Dawn Thomas

Thomas brings more than $675 million in career closed sales volume and reported nearly $26 million in 2025 sales volume.

Engel & Völkers Gestalt Group said it has hired Silicon Valley agent Dawn Thomas after she left Compass, adding a broker with more than 22 years of experience.

According to HousingWire, Thomas brings $675 million in career closed sales volume, and reported nearly $26 million in annual volume for 2025. She is expected to serve Los Altos, Los Gatos, and surrounding markets while supporting Engel & Völkers’ Northern California growth.

The brokerage said Thomas’ move is tied to building a broader practice through Engel & Völkers’ network, with her telling HousingWire the change was deliberate rather than reactive. Engel & Völkers license partner Paul Benson said her market reputation and client commitment will be part of how the brand expands its presence in Silicon Valley.

Benson, who currently operates 41 Engel & Völkers franchised locations across the United States including more than 10 in Northern California, framed the hire as an opportunity for the firm to grow. HousingWire also noted Thomas has been active in the real estate industry beyond brokerage work.
