Milliman names Jim Fulton as next CEO, succeeding Dermot Corry
Fulton, who has been Milliman’s CFO since 2015, will take over from Dermot Corry after Corry’s five-year term as CEO.
Milliman, Inc., a global actuarial and consulting firm, announced that Jim Fulton will become its next Chief Executive Officer. Fulton has served as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer since 2015, with a role in Milliman’s organic growth and mergers and acquisitions strategy.
The firm said Fulton’s appointment reflects Milliman’s development beyond its actuarial origins into a broader consultancy that includes risk management and technology solutions. Milliman’s chair Bret Linton described Fulton as the right leader as the company grows and changes in a complex, evolving environment.
Milliman said Fulton has more than 30 years of executive experience and is a Certified Public Accountant in the US. His background includes 12 years in assurance at PwC, later chief financial officer and partner roles at Crowe, and work from 2011 to 2015 with a venture capital firm connected to the University of Notre Dame’s Innovation Park.
The company also said Fulton will succeed Dermot Corry, who is retiring after a five-year term as chief executive and a 44-year career at Milliman. During Corry’s tenure, Milliman completed nine acquisitions and increased the diversity of its data resources, analytics capabilities, and specialist expertise.
