PACE Loan Group hires CFO Kenneth Sacco to expand C-PACE lending
The Minneapolis-based lender said Sacco will help guide PLG as it builds out its finance and capital markets function during its next growth stage.
PACE Loan Group (PLG) named commercial real estate finance veteran Kenneth Sacco as its chief financial officer, Commercial Observer reported. The firm said the hire is aimed at shepherding PLG’s capital markets momentum in the commercial property assessed clean energy, or C-PACE, market.
Sacco brings CRE transaction and debt financing experience, having advised on more than $10 billion worth of transactions and executed over $30 billion in debt financings in his career, according to the report. Before returning to CRE, he held senior corporate finance and treasury roles at Netflix and Life Time.
The article links PLG’s recent rise in C-PACE lending to its growth since closing its first deal under New Jersey’s newly launched program in January 2026, a $45.5 million loan connected to the Tower Investments Island Waterpark at Showboat project in Atlantic City. PLG has also added offices in Austin, Texas, Chicago, New York City, and San Diego.
PLG’s CEO, Rafi Golberstein, said the company was looking for a strategic finance leader with real institutional capital markets experience and deep CRE expertise. In a statement, Sacco said C-PACE matches his background in complex financial structuring and that PLG’s fully in-house operating model, backed by AB CarVal, is a competitive advantage compared with other C-PACE lenders.
