Real shareholders and REMAX holders approve Real’s acquisition deal
The companies now await remaining closing conditions, including a British Columbia court order, with closing expected within two weeks.
HousingWire reports that The Real Brokerage shareholders and REMAX Holdings securityholders approved Real’s proposed acquisition of REMAX, moving the companies closer to forming Real REMAX Group.
The vote results showed support of about 99% of votes cast by Real shareholders, while holders with about 78.8% of REMAX voting power approved the transaction, according to HousingWire. The deal remains subject to remaining closing conditions, including a Supreme Court of British Columbia order approving arrangement aspects.
The companies expect the deal to close shortly after all conditions are met, which they anticipate will be in the next couple of weeks. HousingWire also reported that the combined platform is expected to support more than 180,000 real estate professionals across more than 120 countries and territories.
Real and REMAX projected pro forma 2025 revenue of roughly $2.3 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $157 million before synergies for the combined entity. HousingWire said leadership framed the vote as a step toward building a larger-scale platform focused on technology, education, and support for agents and brokers.
