Kennedy Wilson names John McCullough president of multifamily development
McCullough oversees Kennedy Wilson’s U.S. development business, which includes general partner interests in 18 apartment and student housing properties and a $2.2 billion assets under management base.
Kennedy Wilson has named John McCullough president of its multifamily development group, giving him oversight of the firm’s entire U.S. development business, Commercial Observer reports. McCullough joined the company after Kennedy Wilson’s $347 million acquisition of Toll Brothers’ apartment living platform in 2025.
Under the acquisition, Kennedy Wilson received general partner interests in 18 apartment and student housing properties, with assets under management of $2.2 billion. The firm also purchased a pipeline of 29 development sites in various stages of construction.
The management team that ran Toll Brothers’ apartment living operations has transitioned to Kennedy Wilson, with McCullough leading the group after previously running apartment living operations at Toll Brothers. Commercial Observer also outlines McCullough’s path into real estate, including time in the U.S. Navy, graduate studies at Boston University, and later a certificate in real estate with a focus on residential from New York University.
