Greenfield Milling to expand Richmond, Utah flour mill capacity

The company says its Richmond plant, which began operating in September 2025 with 7,500 cwts of daily capacity, is set to double output to 15,000 cwts by 2027.

Greenfield Milling has begun operating a new flour mill in Richmond, Utah, and is now preparing a rapid expansion of the facility. The plant started work in September 2025, after the company opened the site as part of a long-term supply arrangement to provide flour to an adjacent snacks plant owned by Campbell’s Co. in Camden, New Jersey.

The Richmond mill has 7,500 cwts of daily flour milling capacity, and it grinds both hard and soft wheat. Less than a year after opening, Greenfield is set to expand the newly constructed mill and build a new warehouse and mix plant on the same site.

World Grain reports Greenfield plans for the mill’s capacity to reach 15,000 cwts of daily production by 2027. Greenfield says the facility supports its strategy focused more on mixes and packaged flour than on bulk flour business.

The company’s venture in Utah complements an existing Texas-based operation. Greenfield Milling is the central business for partners John Mason and Bryan Ledgerwood, who also previously ran Panhandle Milling, which they acquired in 2016, later expanding further with the 2020 purchase of Arrowhead Mills in Hereford, Texas.
