Kidder Mathews opens first Texas office in Dallas-Fort Worth
The firm said the new DFW office adds six brokers and expands its footprint to 20 offices across six states.
Kidder Mathews, a Seattle-based commercial real estate firm, is opening its first Texas office in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, marking an entry into the state after building out its national presence.
The DFW operation will include six brokers who will make up the firm's new investment sales team, including Mart Martindale, Brandon Beeson, Wilson Stafford, John David Cobb, and Claire Schmeltekopf. Barrett Jones is also joining as a healthcare tenant advisory specialist.
Kidder Mathews said the team brings experience across capital markets, investment sales, and distressed assets across multiple property types, including retail, office, multifamily, medical office, and industrial. The firm noted that Martindale, Beeson, and Stafford previously founded Edge Capital Markets and have executed more than $3.5B in transactions and provided valuations for over $20B in assets.
The company said its DFW launch is intended to build toward a fuller, full-service presence in the market, and that the new leadership gives it a foundation to expand its operations in Texas. The firm currently has 20 offices across six states.
