Commercial real estate group backs Building Block Foundation Fund

The Building Block Foundation Fund is a 100% commercial real estate focused nonprofit supported through volunteer professionals and fundraising efforts.

ConnectCRE highlights the Building Block Foundation Fund, a nonprofit organized by volunteer professionals from across the commercial real estate industry. The group’s fundraising is designed to bring people together to network with CRE peers while supporting select charities in Orange County and surrounding areas.

The initiative is presented in part by Bob O’Neill, executive vice president at CapRock Partners and a member of the Building Block Foundation Fund board. CapRock also serves as the Endless Summer Title Sponsor, and the article describes Building Block as unique in its focus on commercial real estate connections through charity and community events.

According to ConnectCRE, participating charities supported by the fund include Project Access, Hope Ignites Southern California, Everfree, Joyful Child Foundation, Kidworks, Orangewood Children’s Foundation, HomeAid, and Hope Builders. The organizations are described as working with at-risk youth across needs including education, housing, mentorship, and protection from exploitation.

ConnectCRE also says CapRock Partners ties its support to a stated core value, “Blessed to be a Blessing,” with principals setting aside 10% of partner profits to reinvest in the communities where they invest and develop. The article adds that Building Block aims to make a meaningful impact despite the presence of many charities in the region that it cannot fully support.
