FAT Brands shuts Fazoli's locations in multiple states after Chapter 11
The closures include Fazoli's exiting West Michigan, leaving the chain with only two remaining restaurants in the Great Lakes State after one location closed on July 28, according to a company locator and local reporting.
FAT Brands Inc., the California-based parent of the fast-casual Italian chain Fazoli's, has been closing restaurants across the United States following its voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in January 2026, according to Yahoo Finance. The outlet points to ongoing pressure from rising labor and food costs as part of the broader strain that has driven other restaurant operators into bankruptcy proceedings.
Yahoo Finance reported that Fazoli's closed its Battle Creek, Michigan location at 5445 Beckley Road, which marked the chain's exit from the West Michigan market. The closure, confirmed by a FAT Brands spokesperson to WoodTV on July 28, left Fazoli's with only two more restaurants in Michigan after the chain had seven locations there in November 2025, based on the company's restaurant locator.
The outlet also said Fazoli's shuttered a Lincoln, Nebraska restaurant in July 2026, leaving three locations in the state. Separately, Yahoo Finance cited earlier closures in Central Kentucky, where two locations in May were reported as closing permanently, with Fazoli's retaining 26 restaurants in Kentucky after those shut downs.
