Guy Carpenter names new global property and casualty leaders
The newly created roles for David Duffy and Chris Ross will report to Guy Carpenter’s John Trace and focus on risk transfer solutions in property and casualty (re)insurance.
Guy Carpenter, a business of Marsh, appointed David Duffy as global property leader and Chris Ross as global casualty leader. The two new roles are based in New York and will report to John Trace, CEO of North America and chief broking officer for Guy Carpenter.
In the newly created positions, Duffy and Ross will apply Guy Carpenter’s best practices to deliver risk transfer solutions for clients across the property and casualty (re)insurance market. Both appointments draw on more than 25 years of experience, and the pair have led some of Guy Carpenter’s largest global client relationships.
Duffy joined Guy Carpenter in 1992 and most recently served as co-president, global clients. Ross joined Guy Carpenter in 1999 and previously led the New York-based casualty team.
Separately, Insurance Journal also detailed leadership changes at Aon’s middle market business, including Doug Hammond’s transition to global executive chairman, and new appointments for Mike Schneider as CEO of Middle Market, North America, and Ethan Foxman as president, Middle Market, North America, effective immediately.
