Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong says Bitcoin could reach $300,000 to $400,000 by 2030

Armstrong linked the outlook to US momentum on the Clarity Act, after bitcoin rose more than 10% in a day and traded above $72,000.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said it is very likely Bitcoin will reach between $300,000 and $400,000 by 2030, speaking on Fox Business. He said US progress on digital asset legislation could support the price outlook.

Armstrong pointed to a White House meeting on Wednesday hosted by President Donald Trump with crypto and traditional finance executives. Trump urged lawmakers to move forward with the Clarity Act.

The article says bitcoin surged after the White House news, rising 10% over the past day and recently trading above $72,000 per coin. Armstrong also referred to an expected legislative vote timing, noting a September 15 decision on the Clarity Act.

According to the report, the Clarity Act would create a framework for distinguishing between digital assets that are securities, commodities, or payment stablecoins. The bill has faced deadlock during much of 2026, including disagreements involving stablecoin yield and bank concerns about deposit base impact, though Armstrong said some banks endorsed the bill.
