Aegon CFO Duncan Russell will step down in April 2027
Russell plans to exit as Aegon prepares to move its head office and legal seat to the United States.
Aegon said CFO Duncan Russell will step down and leave the company in April 2027, as the insurer prepares to relocate its head office and legal seat to the United States.
Russell joined Aegon in 2020 after senior roles at Admiral Group and NN Group, and the company credited him with helping transform Aegon by strengthening its financial foundations and positioning it for long-term success. Aegon CEO Lard Friese thanked Russell for his leadership and partnership.
Aegon also said it plans to expand its technology efforts to additional processes and channels, including voice. The insurer noted that David Fuller joined as president and CEO of Transamerica in 2021 after prior leadership roles at Lincoln Financial Group and Merrill Lynch.
