Inszone buys 101-year-old West Tulsa insurance agency in August deal
The acquisition marks Inszone’s third announced deal in August, following purchases in Kentucky and Oklahoma.
Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Harris Insurance Services, a 101-year-old personal lines agency in West Tulsa, Oklahoma, extending the company’s rapid pace of insurance-industry consolidation in 2026, according to Insurance Business.
Harris Insurance Services was founded in 1925 by Charles R. Harris and later incorporated in the 1970s, serving West Tulsa across three generations of the Harris family. The agency specialized in home, auto, umbrella, motorcycle, RV, and boat coverage, and founder Ross Harris said he reviewed Inszone through peer references before agreeing to sell.
The Harris deal is Inszone’s third announced transaction in August, coming after the company acquired Hocker Family Insurance, a nearly century-old agency in Morgantown, Kentucky, on August 13. It followed five days later, with the brokerage having completed 33 acquisitions through the first six months of 2026.
Insurance Business also cited OPTIS Partners data showing Inszone’s trailing 12-month acquisition pace grew 33% over the prior comparable period. The outlet said the company, backed by BHMS Investments and Lightyear Capital, has completed about 137 acquisitions since its 2002 founding, as private equity-backed and hybrid buyers accounted for roughly 76% of announced transactions over the trailing 12 months.
