Orion180 files for IPO to raise as much as $100 million
The homeowners and flood insurer said its S-1 does not yet set share count or a price range, and it plans to use net proceeds to boost capitalization and financial flexibility.
Orion180 Insurance Group Inc., a provider of homeowners and flood insurance for properties in the US Southeast, has filed a Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its Class A common stock, according to Reinsurance News.
The filing says the company is looking to raise up to USD 100 million, while the number of shares and any price range have not yet been determined. Orion180 reported approximately USD 601 million in managed premiums written for the twelve months ending 30 June 2026, and more than 670,000 policies sold since inception.
Orion180 sells excess and surplus homeowners insurance, private flood insurance, and other ancillary products through independent agents. In 2025, 51% of its managed written premiums were for traditional non-admitted products focused on coastal and catastrophe-exposed properties in higher-risk geographies.
The S-1 lists RBC Capital Markets, UBS Investment Bank, and Raymond James as lead book-running managers, along with Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank Securities, Citizens Capital Markets, and Texas Capital Securities as book-running managers. The company also said it expects to create two classes of authorized common stock, with its founder and CEO, Kenneth Gregg, set to hold Class B and retain significant voting power after the offering.
