Brixton Capital launches multifamily investment-management platform
The new initiative pairs Brixton’s institutional investment and asset management capabilities with operating expertise from its affiliate, United Apartment Group.
Brixton Capital’s Residential division has launched an integrated multifamily investment-management initiative aimed at helping institutional investors, family offices, lenders, joint venture partners, and other multifamily owners improve performance and value.
According to ConnectCRE, the effort combines Brixton’s institutional investment and asset management capabilities with the operating expertise of its affiliate, United Apartment Group, positioning the platform to serve owners of complex multifamily assets.
Brixton VP of residential acquisitions Mark Mandala said the company wants to partner with groups that have fundamentally attractive properties but lack capital, operating infrastructure, or institutional asset-management capabilities needed for the next phase of ownership.
The initiative is designed for situations where a multifamily asset needs a new investment-management or operating partner, or where the property requires a broader restructuring of its business plan, ConnectCRE said.
