Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs post biggest inflow week of 2026

Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $1.918 billion and Ethereum ETFs received $697.2 million over five sessions through Aug. 21, combining for $2.6 billion.

US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw their strongest inflow week of 2026 as a sharp rally in digital assets encouraged fresh demand for products that had struggled to attract consistent subscriptions earlier in the year, CryptoSlate reports. According to SoSoValue data cited by CryptoSlate, Bitcoin ETFs collected $1.918 billion in inflows across five trading sessions through Aug. 21, while funds holding Ethereum attracted $697.2 million. Together, the two groups brought in $2.6 billion, the strongest weekly intake for roughly 10 months.

CryptoSlate also notes that Bitcoin fund inflows occurred every day during the week, lifting cumulative net subscriptions since the January 2024 debut to $53.7 billion. The weekly total for Bitcoin was also its largest since the market selloff in October 2025, while Ethereum funds recorded their best showing since October, when they took in nearly $1.3 billion during the week ended Oct. 3.

The renewed demand lined up with one of crypto’s strongest rallies in years, with Bitcoin rising from about $62,300 to briefly trade near $80,000 on Friday and Ethereum jumping to a seven-month high above $2,500, before retracing slightly by press time to around $76,550 for Bitcoin and about $2,400 for Ethereum. CryptoSlate attributes the move partly to a convergence of macro and policy catalysts, including falling Treasury yields tied to the US Treasury decision announced Aug. 19 to double the maximum size of certain liquidity-support buybacks and additional White House and regulator activity during the week.
