Bernstein projects Bitcoin could hit $125,000 by late 2026
In its base case, the firm forecasts BTC around $150,000 by mid-2027 and a cycle peak near $300,000 in 2029.
Bernstein expects Bitcoin to recover from its recent downturn and reclaim $125,000 by late 2026, according to a research note reviewed by Cointelegraph.
The firm’s base case also calls for BTC to reach about $150,000 by mid-2027, then climb to a cycle peak of roughly $300,000 in 2029, while its bull case targets $200,000 by mid-2027 and $500,000 in 2029.
Bernstein ties the forecasts to Bitcoin’s historical four year cycle pattern linked to halving events, and it models potential prices using the marginal cost of producing new Bitcoin, or the estimated cost for the least efficient miners.
The research also says Bitcoin gained 28% over the prior 10 days after dropping about 50% from its October 2025 peak, and it points to a larger role from institutional investors and corporate Bitcoin buyers as support that reduced the drawdown versus prior cycles.
