Dog Haus targets expansion to 300 locations and $1B valuation
The chain is expanding from about 60 locations to 300 over the next few years, building on leadership hires from Jersey Mike’s.
Dog Haus is planning a major rollout, aiming to grow from roughly 60 locations to 300 in a bid to reach a $1 billion valuation, according to Bisnow. The fast-casual brand has coast-to-coast operations across 14 states and Washington, D.C., and it recently opened its first international outpost on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula in June.
Bisnow reports that Dog Haus brought in several executives from Jersey Mike’s, including former chief innovation officer James Field as chief marketing officer. The company also added Chief Development Officer Chris Rigassio and Chief Operating Officer Garen Khodaverdian, and it plans to divide the country into 15 regions to guide its expansion.
Dog Haus CEO Michael Montagano said in an interview with Fox Business that going from 60 to 300 over the next few years is an achievable step, while the larger ambition is what the company can do after that. Bisnow noted that Field and other leaders previously helped Jersey Mike’s build toward a valuation of about $8 billion when Blackstone bought a majority stake in January 2025.
Bisnow added that Dog Haus is offering hot dogs, burgers, and fried chicken sandwiches, with some locations featuring a beer garden. The story also places the push in the context of broader fast-casual growth, citing Cava’s plan to open 75 restaurants by year end and target a 1,000-location footprint by 2032.
