Champion Homes appoints Eagle Materials CEO Michael Haack to board
The independent director appointment takes effect Aug. 24, 2026, and Haack will sit on Champion Homes' compensation committee.
Champion Homes Inc. named Michael Haack, the CEO of Eagle Materials, as an independent director, with the appointment effective Aug. 24, 2026. The move brings Champion Homes' board to seven members, with six of them independent, the company said in an announcement reported by HousingWire.
Haack will serve on the board's compensation committee. HousingWire also reports that he brings more than two decades of experience in large-scale manufacturing, M&A, and operations from Eagle Materials and Halliburton.
Eagle Materials makes heavy construction products and light building materials, including Portland cement and gypsum wallboard used across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. During Haack's tenure at Eagle, the company said he led more than $1.6 billion in acquisitions.
Before Eagle Materials, Haack spent more than 17 years at Halliburton in senior roles covering manufacturing, operations, and global leadership, including work across supply chain, quality, and global strategy. HousingWire reports that board chair Michael Berman said Haack's perspective from leading complex industrial organizations will be beneficial to Champion Homes.
