Bitcoin gains lift Strategy's BTC profit to $2.8 billion

At a Bitcoin price near $79,000, Strategy says its 840,447 BTC position is about $2.8 billion above its cost basis.

A Bitcoin rally to around $79,000 pushed MicroStrategy parent Strategy’s Bitcoin position into a large unrealized profit, according to Decrypt.

The company holds 840,447 BTC, which Decrypt reports is roughly $2.8 billion above its cost basis at current prices.

The outlet also points to speculation that Michael Saylor may be setting up a potential renewed purchase after Saylor posted “We’re Back,” fueling market chatter about whether Strategy could resume buying.
