Oil prices climb to around $90 a barrel amid U.S.-Iran tensions
The average U.S. gasoline price remains 37 percent higher since the war began, according to NYT Business.
Global oil prices rose to about $90 a barrel after attacks involving the United States and Iran, with the incident marking the first such strikes in about a month, NYT Business reports.
The outlet said the renewed attacks jolted energy markets, contributing to the latest move higher in crude prices.
NYT Business also noted that the average U.S. gasoline price is still 37 percent higher since the war began, underscoring the ongoing pressure on consumers even after the new round of attacks.
