American Healthcare REIT appoints new CEO, elevates president and COO
Jeff Hanson was named CEO, while Gabe Willhite was elevated to president and Danny Prosky retired from his executive roles after a medical leave began in February.
American Healthcare REIT announced a leadership reshuffle, naming Jeff Hanson as the company’s CEO while he continues as chairman of the board.
Gabe Willhite was elevated to president in addition to his existing role as COO, and Danny Prosky, who had served as president and CEO since the company’s formation, has retired from his executive role. Prosky will continue serving as a member of the board of directors and as an advisor to management.
The REIT said Prosky began a medical leave of absence in February after a serious health event, while Scott Estes, an independent director, was appointed lead independent director.
The same monthly Nareit roundup also noted other executive moves across listed REITs, including Camden Property Trust’s appointment of Kevin Necas as senior vice president and chief accounting officer, Centerspace’s promotion of Steven Vargas to senior vice president of operations, and Chiron Real Estate’s multiple leadership appointments tied to changes in COO and related roles.
